Copyrights and wrongs..

-Students are allowed to use portions of copyrighted material in their multi media projects and upload them on YouTube if there is proper citation of their sources. They must also make a slide at the beginning of the presentation stating that their project has been created using copy righted materials that are not to be associated with the original source.
-Students can use 1000 words or less of copyrighted materials in their work, 250 if from poems. They can use 3 minutes if movies but are to not alter the clip in any way. No more than 30 seconds of a song shall be used.
-Students can use copyrighted materials in their educational practices as long as they correctly cite and credit all materials. It is advised to write and ask for permission for usages of copyrighted materials if they are to be used for purposes other than educational ones.

  1. Holly you did a very thorough job answering the questions that were posed to our class this week. It is very important for us to understand what is acceptable in fair use since we are being encouraged to create various multimedia presentations for our class. Thanks for such an insightful post!
